After leaving school Christmas 1964, I joined the Merchant Navy and after many many years gained my Master Mariners Certificate ( Foreign Going). I lived in Australia 1970-74. Married an English girl, returned to UK in 1974, went to Nottingham, got a BEd.degree and now I am headmaster of a prep school in Surrey. I have 3 children: 2 nurses and 1 mechanical engineer, the latter now at Nottingham! Eldest daughter Jo died aged 25, 30/8/03 after a tyre blow out Fitzroy Crossing, W Australia, whilst on another gap year. 29/10/04
