After leaving Chippy, became apprentice to a firm of lithographic plate
makers in St. Clements, Oxford, attending printing college in London.
Had a near-fatal motorcycle accident travelling to Chippy Mop Fair, and
during rehabilitation decided to go to art school, first in Banbury, then
in Loughborough.
It was at this time I discovered the Bahai Faith and have tried, with
varying degrees of success, to follow that way of life. I married and
divorced, then married Maggie Scott. We have four offspring, born in 1982,
84, 86 and 89. Harriet, Philippa, Charlotte and Alexander.
I have painted ever since leaving art college, minus the two years I spent
working as a labourer and ganger on a building site in Loughborough. I
have illustrated children's and adult titles. To date I have exhibited
paintings in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and various other cities in Scotland.
Also Cumbria. I like playing football and still struggle with all forms
of administration, which is why I paint. I live in the Scottish Borders.
I couldn't afford to buy LP (vinyl) records, so we used to listen to Sanatic
Majesty's by the Sones owned by Nick Page and the Double White Beatles
owned by a rich farmer's son whose name escapes me, in the common room.

Divorced 2002 and subsequently remarried to Annabel Hills, also ex Chippy School in Sept 2004.
It was lovely to see so many of our old friends from school at the party to celebrate our wedding.
We are living in Swerford, not far from Chippy and are glad to keep in touch with many of our old school friends.
We have had Tim Parish and Richard Benfield with us recently.

I've spent the last 10 years moving further and further away from Chippy (working as a software developer, and more recently consultant in the Telecoms industry). I am currently living and working in Italy (Milan - where you can't get a decent pint of beer, unfortunately).

I married Ian Ashby in 1978 and we have lived in Southmoor near Abingdon ever since. The other twin Richard married Joy Turner in 1975
We have one son David who was born in 1989. I am still very involved in Guides and have been running the local guide unit for more that 20 years.
Ian works in Oxford and does the lighting for the local drama group.
Richard is involved in the Banbury drama group. I am still in contact with Rosemary Walton who has lived in America for mor than 25 years.

Left the Navy in 1960 and worked for an office equipment company servicing early computers and word processors. 1988 I took a job in the Electronics and Computer Science Dept. at Southampton University.I have been married for 44 yrs. and have three daughters, 2 grand daughters and 2 grandsons.

I now live in Battersea in London and work all over the country. I am married to Keith and have 2 wonderful children Joshua who is 13 and Alexandra who is 11. I joined the school when I was 14 in 1975 and left after doing 1 year of 6th form in 1978 would love to hear from anyone from my year. I still visit Kingham regularly as my parents still live there.

Live at Cassington (great place) Work as supervisor in a Pre School and spend my spare time trying to rebel against expectations. Working firstly at Shipston on Sour, then Stratford upon Avon, both in Warwickshire.
I returned to Chippy to be employed by Sole Brothers Ltd in Albion Street.
I then found myself back at Chippy school doing maintainence of the building for the next 29 years, whilst employed at Soles.
Also maitaining all schools from Great Rollright through to Burford, Carterton, Charlbury, Shipton and Milton etc.
I think that I enjoyed spending these last years working at Chippy school, more than I ever did as a pupil.

I have 4 children aged between 18 and 6 from my first marriage. Recently split up with my second husband. I'm living near Wolverhampton and am a promotions agent for a bunch of male strippers-I love my job!

I have been living in Banbury with Gemma Clarke for 2 years now and we are getting married on the 7th of September this year in Chipping Norton.
we have now been together 5 years(doesent time fly when your having fun).
I now work as a credit controler for a uniform supplier based in Banbury. Im studying a pratical book keeping course which will help me progress in my career. We are looking move to Doncaster and buy a house sometime next year, but you will still see us about. Luke.

I have been married for 15 years to Karen Baldwin, (also an ex-chippy pupil),don't have any children, and now live near Leamington Spa, (moved here in 1989).
One word of advice to anyone buying an old house to 'do up', is that you never seem to finish !!!!
Anyway I still work for Solid State Logic, (soon to be 22 years) and
have worked in the U.S., Norway etc , working in some of the top recording
studios in the world !!!

When I found the ex-chippy site I dug out some old photographs and have a class photo from probably 1950 or 51, although I am not certain that I have correctly matched all of the names with the faces.
I emigrated to Canada in 1956, and have been here ever since.

I have my own business, Northpoint [www.northpoint.ltd.uk] and we paint metal, lots of it.
I have also a timber merchant, Stockport Timber, my pride & joy.
The businesses don't need me anymore, so at 42 I spend my time on recovery projects for banks and financial institutions. Unfortunately, not always a pleasant experience for the businesses I am asked to sort.
Despite the best efforts of Chippy, I have a degree from York/UCLA and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
After 14 years in Manchester I still can't get used to cold fizzy bitter with a head, fortunately my habits are sufficiently well know to my local that a pint is poured and allowed to go warm and flat ahead of my arrival. God bless the northern sociability.
I have renewed my since-primary school association with Robert Keylock this year. A really nice, humourous chap with a lovely family.

I trained in Hotel & Catering on leaving school and met my husband, Stuart at the Crown & Cushion in Chippy. We managed hotels in Cheshire, East Anglia, London and West Sussex before settling in Timperley, Cheshire, Stuart's home town, in 1977. I have worked for IBM UK for the last 25 years.
We have one son, Anthony, who is an SSM in the Royal Engineers. Would love to hear from anyone in my year at school as a few of us are trying to arrange a reunion for later on this year, (2004).

I lived in Enstone and came to Chippy from Spendlove in 1969. Moved to
Banbury after marrying Shelly in 1975, but moved back to Enstone in Feb
2005. Two daughters born 1977 and 1980, Four granddaughters (born 1996,
1999, 2000 and 2004), Three grandsons (born 1998, and twin boys in 2001).
We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in November 2005. I work for
Thames Valley Police in Banbury, having been a chef and a Fireman. I am
still in touch with many from my year (160+) and also from other years.
I love to travel, funds permitting! I have also written a book about growing
up in the 1960's called 'Simpler Then'. It retails at £4.95, but
all ex-chippy can buy it cheaper. I have also written a book of poetry,
helped by other ex-chippy pupils - How One Grows in Rhymes and Prose.
I have also republished five school magazines from Spendlove, in three
volumes called "Under Wychwood", and three volumes of true stories
from the Banbury Genealogical list called "Before I Forget"
with another three volumes in progress. Currently working on a book about
Enstone. Anyone who knows me, get in touch. I always answer e-mails.

Then by A'level results day was fed up with the fantastic world of work, so headed up north 250 miles from home, to Newcastle and started a Business Systems and Information Technology degree for three years currently thinking of partaking in a PGCE to become a I.T teacher! Thanks to Miss Hale and Terry Cook for being role models, I loved it so much I now want to work with the likes of them. So thats me at present!
