Enjoyed my years at Chipping Norton Grammar.
Possibly only remembered for my athletic skills, and of course hockey!!!
Had a varied career. Joined the Bournemouth Police Force and had a very
exciting twelve years. Left to have a family, two boys, both attended
University and have since gone on to excellent employment. Now caring
for the elderly in beautiful Purbeck, Dorset.Have enjoyed two reunions
for ex pupils over the last two years. Another planned for next year.

Hi i am at banbury college doing business and information technology.
i left school about 6 months ago after doing my AS Levels which i passed
just about. i wish all my frinds there the best of luck with their finale
year of A Levels and I miss you all lots. just like to say thank you to
all the teachers that helped me out in my GCSE'S and AS Levels especially
MR COOK and STEVE BRIDGES who were the best!!!! If my friends read this

These days I run a small record company. I have been a pilot, aircraft
engineer, worked for a newspaper and built dry stone walls. I even found
time to further my education.
It has been a while since Chippy days but who could forget. I have a small
blue Hymn book containing many autographs and it would be great to know
where these people are who made their mark.
Not much more to add, other than I met some of the nicest people I could
hope to meet back then - and it includes teachers.

Married to Ron with 2 children, Aaron 5 & Georgia 8 (going on 18). We've
just come back from living in Montana, USA for seven years.
My husband is in the US Air Force. We are now living just outside Northampton
and loving it. I graduated with my teaching degree in the States and will
be let loose on unsuspecting children in the autumn term!!!!!! This is the
first time I've been able to get on the site and it's great to see what
everyone is doing with their lives. I'm still in touch with Sarah Baker
(Taylor)so she catches me up on life in the UK. When's the next reunion?

Moved to Southcombe, near Chippy in August '55 at the age of 12+. Started
at what was then Chippy Grammar School in Sept '55, in form 2P. Form Master
a Mr. Pickett, the P.E. Master Head was P.W. Martin. I also remember Mr.
Ransome, Misses Bellwood & Dixon, Mr. Beard, Mr. C.E.N. Watts, and others.
Left School in July '58, worked for a time at Hitchmans Mineral Water Factory(Where
Hitchman Drive is now), later for Smiths Industries in Witney (in the '60s),
then for almost 23.5 years at A.E. Malins in Oxford. Since mid 1995 I have
run the "Radio Workshop" (still Trying to!), currently, Ironically
from a cellar in West Street that used to be Hitchmans Brewery whilst also
working in Threshers Off-Licence in Chippy. Other than when away on training
courses I have always lived in Chippy

I still work for the same organisation as in 1981, though the company
has changed somewhat from then. Although I basically do the same job as
I have don since 1996, my title has recently changed to 'Regional Relief
Manager'. It just means my salary has increased and I get a company van
to drive around in!

up life as an elk. I am an avid fan of circus freaks and have the largest
private collection of bearded ladies in the UK (available for children's
parties). My favourite sound is that of a vole on a spit.

and sister Sheila, who both still live over The Common. I now live in Cornwall
having moved around the country since leaving college. I am self employed

hi all after leaving chippy i moved to oxford went to collage
(enginering) then worked for while went back to collage in 94 (electronics)
went to work for the likes of nokia in surry and aerospace farnborough ,i

Where to start, 1976 might be one idea but I can't remember
that far back.
* Married to Carole, one child Charlotte and always a pet about.
* Still working in the gambling business, casinos mainly and awaiting
the new dawn of relaxed legislation or retirement with the latter the
more likely.
* Am now 50, as are all of those that left in 1975 and still survive.
* Rarely ever visit Chippy, but stop off in Banbury for petrol and the
Banbury Guardian just to see if anyone I can remember has got themselves
into the news.
* Like everyone else would like to attend the next reunion, having missed
the last one, but not enough to actually arrange it.
* So if you know of a 'completer finisher' from our year tell them to
get on with it.
* Other than that hope old friends are well and happy.

my Mother was a nurse at Chippy Hospital, and my Dad was a bus driver until
he died when I was 5 years old, we then moved to Hailey Road. From there

nurse. Have been in London ever since and for the past 11 years have specialised
in Haematological cancers and Bone Marrow Transplantation. Am currently
the Senior Nurse for this speciality at The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.
Am guilty of not getting back to Chippy too often but I love the city life
too much!
