Hi all who remember me! I left Chippy in Dec '70 and, after bimbling about
for a couple of years trying to decide what to do with the rest of life,
went to teacher training college (73 - 76) to do PE and maths. Managed to
scrape through and thought about 3 years in the Army before settling into
teaching. Went to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 77 being commissioned
in 78, and have never looked back! I married my girlfriend from teacher
training days and we have a daughter Izzy (now 20) who is at Birmingham
Uni doing Mediaeval English and history. I have a house near Chichester
(W Sussex) but am currently living in Aberdeen where I am the Training Major
for Aberdeen Universities Officer Training Corps - and loving every minute
of it. So, 27 years service and just 3 to go before I retire. Anyone want
to offer an old soldier a job?? Contacts gratefully received - if only to
catch up on past times.

bought our first house summer 2006 after renting for years and now have
two daughters Abi who was born Nov 2005 and Megan who was born June 2007.Im
currently not working just enjoying being a full time mum. After leaving
school i worked for Hartwell Finance company in Oxford collecting Debts
for car hire purchase, While working for them i passed an NVQ in Admin,
IT and customer services, I then left Hartwell and worked for Corbetts in

Hi Everyone, Don't know who will remember me, I was the "quiet yankee"

For those of you that believe that I will write some more lies on here!
I think this site is really great and got to see quite a few names on here
of people that I remember, quite amazing actually! I am still living in
the States, actually going to college, (that is the truth!) I live in New
Mexico, have three grown daughter's and one grand-daughter. Still loving
life and having fun, but still haven't learned how to stay out of trouble
while doing so!
I really hope the few of you that remember me will e-mail, cuz I do know

At Cardiff University doing a PhD in Machine Vision (Computer Science
stuff, image processing, lighting, optics, networking, etc.), after a 2:1
in CS for a BSc.
Having good fun playing games online when I can spare the time, going out
with friends and generally working. I work for a charity based in Penarth
(just outside Cardiff), and we provide science and space science resources
for secondary children, bring astronauts over to talk to them, and take
them and their teachers over to NASA. It's all great fun :)
I've found a lovely lady named Jenny, although she is in America at the
moment, which is a pain!

Hello all,
I hope everyone's enjoying their life, whatever they're doing.
I've been working for Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance as a credit analyst
for nearly three years now, since leaving schoool in 2003. I've lived
in Banbury for almost as long, with my partner of 5 years, Tim. We got
engaged 18 months ago and are hoping to tie-the-knot within the next couple
of years.
I've got really good memories of school life and as much as you don't
believe it when you're there, those days really are the best days of your

I work for Oxfam GB and have done for the past 10 years as a Human Resources
Executive since the children I now work part time 3 days per week.

I hope this and every other school is a much better place for students
and they don't have to go through the shit i felt i went through just
because
i was pretty and different.
i also thank chipping norton school coz i'm doing ok. i absolutely adhored
most of my teachers. may sound creepish but it was what was happening
for me . i'd like to say a big thank you to mr nichols. what a sense of
humour. mr w. physics teacher for not explaining things to me coz it's
really left me with a thirst for doing it all again . you were a softy.
not unlike alot of the teachers.
good maths and languages department. hey, miss addisson was dead cool
too and miss jagger.
English was pretty good too but i was too interested in boys.

for one year doing the same job. Met Reg when I was 20 got married July
1976 lived in Finstock from 1976 to 1983. Daughter Fay born 1977 son Brett
1979.Moved to Bampton 1983 and back to the doctors receptionist-pharmasists
job. June 1986 moved to The Algarve Portugal. I now work as a credit controller
and advertising sales representative for a local English news magazine.
Andy Gould and David Keen have both been over to visit with their families.
If anyone would like a holiday here let me know as I have lots of contacts
with villas etc. My mum still lives in Chippy so I visit now and again.
My next trip will be May 2002 for mums 80th birthday, sorry can't make it

I was born in 1928 in West Street and left Chippy when I
was about 4 years old only to return at the beginning of the war 1n August
1939. Lived with my grandparents at 12 West End and attended the Green School
from 1939 to 1942. The Headmaster was then Mr TAYLOR. Left school in 1942
and became the Telegraph Boy Messenger at the Post office in Chippy. Have
been in the Post Office all my life, working in London, Southern Rhodesia
(Zimbabwe)Papua New Guinea and Australia, where I retired a few years ago.

As soon as I left school I took up a career in Retail. I worked for the
Co-op foodstore for 5 years finally coming a Grocery Manager. I left the
job in November 2001 because even though the career was looking good, I
wanted more to life. I am now in Brisbane touring Australia and have been
for the last four months. I reccommend it to anyone.

Hello Kevin (Korky) Corcoran. went to school with amongst others Rob Dix,
and Kate Hemmings now my wife.We have been married for 29 years this year
have two grown up sons and two grandchildren. I work for the Home Office
and Kate is in the Met Police (London) we moved around a bit since leaving
school and have ended up in Aylesbury. Kates Dad and family still live in
Chippy as does my sister Annette. I went on to study Nursing (mental health)
and then Psychology ending up with a PhD in forensic Psychotherapy.my work
is mainly in the drugs field. Kate and I would be happy to here from anyone
who knew us.

After completing a degree in Business management and design in hereford,
I have returned home to the parents, as it is cheap. And I needs omewhere
to store all my art!!.
I now work in Hook Norton for a Communications/Design for print company,
and also I am contracted to work for a company in northampton managing
the website.
recently had two art exhibitions, which went extremely well, sold out
in the first one, and only have a couple of items left in the last one.
I am now studying photography part time at banbury college.
Havent really seen anyone from chippy since I left all those years ago...but
occasionaly I remember a face in the chequers.
Off to Oz in october for three months to travel, so if any of you have
been and have any tips. drop me a line.

Married twice, second time to Ken for nearly 30 years. We have 4 daughters
between us and 10 grandchildren. I was a secretary/PA for over 30 years,
latterly for Early's of Witney,unfortunately the site is now houses, with
everyone being made redundant in 2001. Now I work escorting special needs
children to school and college, which is quite rewarding.

to travel round America, Australia and NewZealand. After working for 15
months at Ford's Research and Design Centre in Essex joined Grant Thornton
in Coventry as an Accountant.
I now live in Banbury and from March 2001 work for Timbmet Limited as

With my sisters Jane and Liz and my brother John we span from about
1963-1976 at Chippy school. Even though I did fine academically I found
school unbearably tedious and remember crossing off every maths lesson one
by one until I could leave in 1972! I spent 2 years at a ballet school in
London, but realized that I wasn't actually good enough for a professional
career. Ended up training as a radiographer. Travelled extensively in Asia,
Australia and South America with my first husband. I've been settled in
Greenwich and working in London for the last 20 years, the last 12 of those
with Stephen who I married in 2003. He is now retired from his health service
job and we are planning our escape from the city. Though I came to hate
school I do have fond memories of my mates like Anna Gatling, Barbara Birchmore
and Sheila Graham. I used to visit Chippy regularly until my mum died in
1998 but have only been once since then. It was my German penfriend's brother
who told me about this site.

Ex Chad. Now really travelled - as far as the Wychwoods. Still following
Oxford United (now in their hour of need) and still mad on The Eagles. Saw
them for the ninth time at O2 at Easter, following on a trip to Los Angeles
in October to see them open the Nokia Theatre Live. Now a medical secretary,
keeping our local GPs on their toes. Face and body say different, but only
aged fourteen in heart and mind!

Having spent five and a half, mainly wet days, dairy farming in Devon
have finally come to my senses and returned home. Actually we have moved
to Kingham,(possibly the only way to move from Churchill to Kingham involves
five years quarantine in Devon)! We are hoping to start making cheese again
very soon, a skill learnt 'down Debn' though not in competition with Daylesford!
Lydia is in sixth form at Oxford High, but Madeleine is following family
tradition and is in fourth form at Chippy. The little ones are at Kingham
primary and thoroughly enjoying themselves. I attended the reunion of our
year, organised by Jane Sewell and really enjoyed meeting up with everyone,
though the sight of Cereta, scarecly altered by the years was rather upsetting!(the
rest of us be-zimmered and her fresh from running some marthon)! Looking
forward to the next re-union.
