This is an interesting picture from World War 2. The girls appear to be undergoing training in how to deal with incendiary bombs. Could this be Miss Jones Girls Training Corp (see the article "Class of 28")? The wooden platform has been erected, I think, in front of one of the school entrance doors (the present day entrance foyer occupies this spot). The chap on the platform is wearing firemans uniform of the time.
